Doug Shumate

Doug Shumate was born in Demopolis, AL and raised in Citrus County, FL. He comes from a background of 7 years in the Real Estate and “Home Remodeling” business. Doug brings exceptional customer service, Multi-million dollar production and invaluable leadership to his team.

Following an outstanding athletic career at Lecanto High School, Doug Shumate attended University of Alabama Birmingham to study Pre-med and compete in NCAA Division 1 College Football. His skills in leadership and communication give him a unique ability to connect with clients and find the best deals.

Doug Shumate has organized community charity events and is excited to “Jump in” and help any way he can. Doug has 10 years of exceptional customer service experience in varied fields. He is excited to bring these experiences to best serve real estate buyers and sellers.

Doug Shumate lives in Crystal River, FL with his partner, 2 daughters, and 2 pets. He spends his free time on his boat fishing or riding his Harley Davidson around town. He is a self-proclaimed “Local Food Expert” who can direct you to some of the best eats in the Nature Coast.
